Participation on social networks

I believe that today and in these days, the participation on social networks is essential. Most people use Facebook, Twitter or WhatsApp to inform our friends or family to our plan sor thoughts. I really like Twitter because you can find out the most popular that has emerge lately with the Trendic Topics and you can give your opinión. Whenever, the use of a good way will be of much help.

But, if you use then in a bad way you may have serious consequences, I remember a friend that posted in Twitter a prediction of a plane crash about politiciand and after that, the tragedy happened. Unfortunately he was accused of conspiracy, was arrested and taken to jail.

For this and many reasons have to know how to use social networks in a proper manner.

“Using car, a good choice"

Pros:

•    The convenience of going sat listening to the music that I liked and at the speed I want.
•    You can invite your friends or family to take a ride or simply visiting amazing places to discover.
•      You decide when to use it, you do not need to wait a particular route to go somewhere, for example, if you're hungry you can go to buy food, if you need to use a bank you can look for one to finish your pendants.
•     Using car also allows us to transport things we bought or want to move to place. 

Cons:

•    The cost involved by traveling by car because gasoline increases constantly, the cost of parking, the general maintenance of the car, insurance, tenure, verification and mechanical failures that may occur.
•     The daily traffic, manifestations, the traffic chaos that can touch you in the least expected moment, making you spend much time in the car.
•   The impact on the environment cause car use.

Argument:

As I see it,  I'm in favor of using car for several reasons: I feel it is more comfortable in your commute, you have your space and do not suffer to go tight during the rush hour, is more accessible because you have the facility to go to the places you need without being subject to the schedule of public transport.

It’s a good idea listening on radio, using Smartphone apps or GPS to consult alternative routes to avoid congestion in order to reduce the traffic.

Finally, we could reduce the environmental problem transporting other people going to the same places that you go and instead of using 5 cars you could use one and at the same time you could reduce the cost of gasoline per person requesting cooperation.

How to make a tattoo

Last summer I went with my friend Julieta to take his fourth tattoo, it was a quote of the writer Lawrence Durrell that says: “There are only three things to be done with a woman: you can love her, suffer for her or turn her into literature”. And now I will tell you what the process for making a tattoo is.

The materials that we need is a person who wants a tattoo, a tattoo artist, carbon paper, gloves, machine for tattooing, needles, ink, disinfectant, “Vaseline” and paper to cover tattoos with tape.

First you have to decide in which place you want to be tattooed, in this case we went to “M.O.B Tattoo” with a tattoo artist called Nathan.

Before going to get a tattoo, you need to make an appointment. When you have an assigned appointment, you will need to go to the tattoo studio and you need to bring the design and size of the tattoo.

Then the tattoo artist will pass the design to carbon paper and then the tattoo artist has to pass the design into the skin and ask in the case of a modification.

Until you’re sure that the machine is disinfected and the needles and gloves are new, we can begin with the tattoo. Meanwhile, the tattoo artist began highlighting and filling with ink the design and cleaning the skin to see the progress of the tattoo.

After several minutes of intense pain the tattoo must be completed and the tattoo artist will have to apply yourself some Vaseline on the area in which tattooed.

Then the tattoo artist has to give you the necessary indications to take care of the tattoo. Finally, the tattoo artist has to cover the tattoo with special plastic to prevent staining.

As my conclusion, I can say that it was an amazing experience and encouraged me to make my first tattoo soon.

Interesting fact about tattoos: one in eight people in the world have a tattoo (and this number is increasing).

Lana del Rey

Lana del Rey is the artistic name of "Elizabeth Woolridge Grant", who was born on June 21, 1986 in The Big Apple, but she lived many years in a small village in Essex, NY: Lake Placid. Here, Lana del Rey began her career, she tried to display her talent singing in the local bars, but it was not enough, so Lana decided to come back to New York City.

At 19 years old, Lana signed with an independent record company. Although, unhappily, the record company went bankrupt. 

In an interview, Lana del Rey said that she walked at night the streets of NY and described how the buildings, all the architecture and the landscape inspired her to produce one of their albums.

Lana had to travel to London looking for a recording house interested in her job, but did not get it. After that, but with the support of their father, Robert Grant, who was her producer, her album "Kill" had a public launch.

On July, 2011, Lana uploaded her song at YouTube: "Video Games" and the successful began. People responded incredibly well and she got her contract with Interscope on October 2011.

Since that moment, she worked about another album, that later be called “Born to Die”. Thanks to the fame achieved above, a lot of people recognized Lana del Rey for her songs like “Never Let Me Go” or “Blue Jeans”, and for her role in the program Saturday Night Live.

Today, Lana del Rey shows around the world and she will offer a concert in Mexico City on November 4, 2013.

Warszawa, Polonia.

To make this description I chose this virtual tour of Warsaw Old Town in Warszawa, Polonia. I think that this place looks as a typical center of a village.

In my opinion it seems to the Queretaro's center because at night they look similar but Polonia streets are more colorful and bright. I guess that in this place you could have a good time sightseeing and enjoy the tipical food.

The buildings that we can see are bigger and luxurious than in other cities. I believe that isn't very expensive because you don't have to pay so much for fun, you can have a good time meeting people and their culture; also venturing out and see what can happen.

This city is very pleasant and I like to visit it in a few years because this is the kind of cities in which I would like to lose myself in the streets and find new places to eat or have fun with my family or friends.

Personal Statement

I wanna be part of the "International Programs" offered by the Tecnológico de Monterrey because I'm interested in learning about other cultures like Spain or Argentina, but especially I want to know more about my career in this country because I want to expand my horizon, my job expectations, see how other city can help me with my career choice and maybe apply to work there as I continue with my studies.

I think I am a good candidate for this International Program because I had been studying very hard at the ITESM high school obtaining an average of 90 and I had been studying English for 13 years. Along my studies in the ITESM CEM I have never obtain a DA and I haven't failed any subject.

I think it's important to learn more aspects of our career and what you can do if you wanted to visit another countries. I really want to go to Spain and be part of this great experience.

Who I am?

My name is Stephanie Fuentes Romero but people call me Stephie.

 

I consider that I am a social, friendly, responsable, and creative person. I really like sucessfull, so, I used to hard working for to get my goals.

I like to play flag football in my free times, it is one of my favorite hobbies and this is the way that I relax.

 

I also like to draw, create and design, these were the reasons for I decided to study Art and Digital Animation; in this special part of my life I have a lot of expectatives, I want to spend my time discoverying, learning, enjoying and innovating in this area; I am pretty sure about this challenge.

 

When I'm bored, I like to write quotes inspired in books or real life. Also, I like to read books, actually I am reading “Levantado del suelo” by José Saramago.

I believe that my interests, in general, are very artistic and I like it, because I can't imagine to live every day with monotony, in a rutine, with rules and specifications. I think, sometimes it's necessary to broke rules, jump the limit and create your own world.
